Red Beach Monument

The mounds in the background may be the remains of the North Korean trenches.


Red Beach

This is all that is left of Red Beach, where the Marines landed in the afternoon.  You can get an idea about the extreme tides of the area, as the sea isn't even in clear sight.  On the far left are the mounds which may be the remains of trenches.  At the time, the beach was at the concrete wall the people are standing near.  


See diorama in War Memorial Museum.  The main landing shown is on Red Beach.  Beyond Wolmi-Do you can make out landing craft approaching Blue Beach.
