Kumhwa Fortifications
This area just northwest of Kimhwa, known as Kumhwa during the war, has a battle monument commemorating the Triangle Hill and Iron Triangle battles and a trench and bunker system created in the 1970s. Current doctrine would hold the front line areas lightly and engage in a more mobile battle further to the rear. One of our tour members, Paul Sakrekoff was stationed near here.
