Uijongbu Corridor

The Uijongbu Corridor has been used as an invasion route for centuries.  During the Korean War, it was used several times: during the June 1950 invasion, MacArthur's advance north after Inchon and Seoul, the UN retreat after Chinese intervention, and the UN offensive, retreat, and final advance.  I'm not sure exactly where these pictures were taken, but they were taken as we traveled north from Uijongbu and are presented in the order they were taken.  If you have any idea exactly what hills these are and what specific action occurred there, please e-mail me.

This is looking west on the northern outskirts of Seoul.

These pictures were taken near an intersection north of Uijongbu and are looking east.  I believe we went due north.  On the right is Uijongbu.
