Washington's Bedroom
The park service sign reads, "At 7:00 am the General would return to the couple's bedroom in order to eat breakfast, in private, with his wife. Washington cherished time with Martha and was not very tolerant of interruptions. The rest of the day Mrs. Washington spent running the household or receiving visitors such as officers' wives and prominent local and Philadelphia residents."
